We have more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. While we have accounts of all sizes, they are all important to us and we try to relate to each of our clients on a personal level.

Eric Jacobsen, CPCU
Eric established Viking Risk & Insurance Services, Inc. in 2007 after many years as a partner in a large commercial insurance brokerage. He was formerly Executive Vice President of Scanlon, Guerra, Jacobsen and Burke Insurance Brokers.  As a shareholder of the company and a member of the board of directors of this large regional insurance brokerage, he helped to grow this firm over a 20-year timeframe ending in 2007. Eric’s prior work experience included work on the floor at Lloyds of London.

Eric has earned the preeminent professional designation, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.  This designation requires passing a impressive series of exams and conformance to a code of ethical behavior. 

Eric has served the insurance community in many capacities:
- Chairman of the Commerical Insurance Committee for IBA West  
- President of the California El Camino Chapter of the Society of CPCU  
- Board member of IBA West of the San Fernando Valley

  Jean Kliever, CIC

Jean began her insurance career under Eric's tutelage at Scanlon, Guerra, Jacobsen & Burke Insurance Brokers, where she focused her efforts on the placement and negotiaion of new and renewal policies. Advancing quickly, she maintained roles of Marketing Director and Agency Resources Coordinator before moving on in 2006. Jean continued her career in Commercial Insurance Marketing at Olympic Insurance Agency in Burbank for a brief time before joining Eric at Viking Risk in 2007.

At Viking Risk & Insurance Services, Jean serves as Account Manager & Executive to both Commercial and Personal Insurance clients. She attained the professional designation as Certified Insurance Counselor in 2010.
